Spring is in full effect, and with the weather heating up, it’s the perfect time to take your workout outdoors. Exercising outside is a welcome change from the gym but it takes a different kind of wardrobe. Here are some style tips to make sure you look cool while heating up during your workouts this summer.

For women

Fun Colours

1

Vibrant, fun colours are a definite must this summer. Colours like purple, neon, teal and salmon provide an energetic and exciting vibe to a summer exercise outfit.

Stripes

2

Stripes are a big fashion trend in general, so why not extend that to your workout wear? Pinstripes give a classic feel to your brightly coloured tops, and can also make you appear slimmer.

Sports bras

3

A simple sports bra in a bright colour is a must for any workout wardrobe this summer. Get one that’s strong, but flexible, and you’ll be ready for anything, whether it’s running, yoga, or kicking a ball around.

Polo shirts

4

What could be better to put over that sports bra after a workout than a nice comfortable polo shirt? Polos can also be sleeveless or in a flattering slim fit if you like showing off your figure.

Short shorts

5

Who likes short shorts? Everyone likes short shorts! Running shorts will still give you the look of more traditional short shorts, but also offer comfort and flexibility for getting a good sweat on.

Capris

6

Capris are the new track pants. They’re comfy, stylish, and lightweight. Perfect for those summer evening runs when the temperature has dipped a little. Capris are also great for comfortable and stylish everyday wear, making them a versatile addition to your summer wardrobe.

Singlets

7

Singlets serve an athletic purpose as well as an aesthetic purpose. Want to show off those sculpted arms, but feeling too modest for a sports bra? A singlet is just what you need. They can be loose or tight fitting, and the sleeveless design allows your arms to be flexible and free. Choose one that has a breathable fabric to keep you cool on those hot days.

Graphic tees

8

Fun is a theme this summer, and graphic tees are fun. Grab some attention with a logo or a message while working out in comfort.

For men

Be bold

9

Bold and vibrant is the name of the game, no matter what you wear this summer. Shades of red, neon green and blue will be seen everywhere at parks and on the running path. Make sure you stand out with some flashy (but tasteful!) colour choices.

Gym shorts

10

No longer are men expected to have shorts hanging past their knees. Stylish and functional, gym shorts are not just for school anymore. They look great with running shoes and are designed to keep you cool on summer days.

Singlets

11

A form-fitting singlet is just the thing this year to show off what you’ve been working on at the gym all winter. They come in a variety of styles, but grab one with a deep red shade or neon colour to make a statement. Athletic singlets are great for showing off your bod, but also give you the comfort and flexibility to get work done on the pitch.

Track jackets

12

In some parts of Australia, we know that the temperature at night can plummet, even in the summer. Stay comfortable with a stylish track jacket. These jackets are built with the athlete in mind. Perfect to wear after working up a sweat and not wanting to lose your body heat in cooler weather.

Polo shirts

13

Polo shirts are a perennial classic style for men, and an absolute must for any summer wardrobe. Add a little modern flair to a classic style by getting one with neon stripes, or with a tighter fit to show off your assets.

There is nothing better than working up a great sweat during an outdoor summertime workout. Make sure that you can show off what you’ve been working on with a great summertime workout wardrobe.
